POPI Act – Module 2 The Role of the Information Officer

Personal Information reveals a great deal about a person or company and therefore can easily be exploited to harm or compromise the privacy of the person to whom the Personal Information relates. It is therefore imperative that there are appointed people or groups whose job it is to protect Personal Information and enforce the provisions as set out in the POPI Act. In this Module, we will be looking at the Information Officer and all that the role entails.
